“Can I Please Touch It?

44x60 in

Acrylics on conventry rag paper

Within this piece, I am investigating the loss of a child’s innocence from viewing pornography. The child is more of a voyeur, instead of a victim. Children easily get excited from viewing these kinds of material and would often try to “learn” more due to their curious nature.

“The Union”

Acrylics on conventry rag paper

44x60 in

I am exploring the visual tension within pornography. The repulsive, disgusting nature of explicit media is often hidden due to the sexual stimulation that is shown to the audience. I am also currently exploring space where the piece has a voyeuristic feel to it.

“How to Use a Condom”

44x60 in

Color markers on printed images, acrylics, condom package, and condoms on coventry rag paper

A piece where I illustrate a diagram of condom usage. I was trying to make a statement that regardless of protection, there is always risk involved.

“Pornography Study 7”

Acrylics, colored markers on printed image mounted on Canson canvas paper

12x16 in

Part of a series of study where I appropriated images from pornography stills. Maybe these will be a prelude to something bigger…
